About

Addressing our mental health and emotional well-being is hard no matter where we live.

I understand the particular challenges that come with seeking therapy in many Asian countries.

There is, unfortunately still a strong stigma attached to mental health issues. People are often hesitant to seek help. As a result, a lot of people struggle to properly navigate the stress that affects them in their day-to-day lives. It’s important to find a counsellor you feel comfortable talking to. Someone with whom you are not hesitant to open up and start exploring the root of your symptoms.

In my experience, I have seen that people are resilient and can create positive change within themselves when they are supported, encouraged, and guided.

My Story

I'm Mamta, a counselling psychologist, clinical trauma counsellor and CBT therapist in Bangkok.

I started Three Point Counselling to bring a therapeutic, non-judgemental, safe environment for people who are struggling with their mental health.

I guide clients to help them find balance & purpose in their lives, so they can move on from their concerns and integrate back into their lives with more clarity.

My goal is to work with you to develop coping mechanisms and tools to overcome your stressors and establish better life & relationship goals.

I enjoy meaningful conversations with people from all backgrounds. This drew me to the profession of healing & helping.

I embrace the following philosophies

  • I believe that you deserve to feel better.

  • I believe that no one should hesitate to ask for help.

  • I believe that people underestimate their ability to change. It's possible to change. It's possible to enjoy life again.

  • I believe that we can stop feeling shame when we share our story with someone who listens with empathy and understanding.

  • I believe in a holistic approach that incorporates mind and body.

My Background

Family life, marriage, raising three children (all grown up now), and living in a multigenerational household have broadened my perspectives and allowed me to have a greater understanding of life stressors and life relationship concerns that many people face. My educational background and life experiences have given me the skills and knowledge to help my clients navigate these issues.

I also run a Non-Profit, Ruam Chuay, in Bangkok, Thailand. I have experience addressing and educating students and adults on interpersonal violence, and gender-based and sexual violence through psychoeducation programs, workshops, facilitated discussions, counselling, and talks at schools and workplaces.
